MOS net

MOS platform has been designed to support Network Operation of Health Services Units (Hospitals or Diagnostic Centres). It is a web based application, that uses intranet and internet in order to connect the users of a Health Services Unit in a single functional environment. The medical and nursing files of the patient, the laboratories, the registration department, the patient accounting department and the pharmacy constitutes a ring in a chain of interactions.

MOS supports most popular databases, in order to store and retrieve information (medical orders, results of laboratory examinations, accountant debits), which were traditionally exchanged using "paper". Digital data constitutes the way leading to a "paperless" Hospital, which is operating with the model of "e-government".

Beyond that the information should be available in each user, depending on the role and his responsibilities in a Health Services Unit, it is also essential to be available between Health Units. This results from the need for the medical data to be available to the doctors of all hospitals in a country. Another reason is the need of single financial management of all Health Units in a region or a country.

MOS net sub system serves exactly this functionality. MOS net makes available the demographic elements of patients, the basic information of patient medical history and the corresponding financial information in the total Health Units, which it connects. For this aim is used a shared database, that every Unit feeds with data or the interoperability protocol Health Level 7 (http://www.Hl7.org).
